Too long!

So, I figure almost a year is enough time to finally login and update with some new pictures (although, most of you are on FaceBook now, so there's really nothing new to tell). I'm going to go ahead and post the most current pictures from the Wild Animal Park from December. Just for fun, compare them to last years and see how big the boys have gotten!

Summer's Almost Here!

Daily I am amazed that it's already May and summer vacation is almost here. Although, because it's so hard to find something to do in this heat, the kids look forward to summer school and football, not hanging out with their friends like we used to.

Junior finished up his swim season by placing 7th and 12th in the division finals. Great job for his freshman year, swimming against seasoned veterans! His grades are still looking great and he's still talking about college, so we're on the right path.

Lani will be starting his "end of the year" activities this month since he's graduating from 8th grade and getting ready to move on to the high school. He's on the fence about whether or not he will be playing football, but seems pretty confident he will be joining swim team next spring.

I can't believe my little guy is almost done with kindergarten. I keep asking him to slow down and stop growing up so fast, but he says "mommmmmm...." (with a bit of a growl). He's done very well and we've been so lucky to have such a wonderful teacher for him. Two weeks ago they made homemade pasta for the family lunch. If that's not brave, I don't know what is!

I figured it was finally time to give a little update on our family since we're already into Spring now and I haven't put anything new up in ages. Blogging was such a novelty item at first and now I have to make an effort for something that was originally so much. Don't get me wrong, I love this, but with a busy schedule, it's not easy to stay current with.

The boys and I are getting to spend a relaxing weekend in San Diego with my family. We went to the Wild Animal Park yesterday, which was a first for Marcus and me (I guess I have been before, but I was so young I have NO recollection of it!). It was really cool to see all the different animals and was great exercise. The plants, trees and flowers were all very inviting and just when the afternoon was heating up, a cool San Diego breeze kicked in.
